It’s been a little crazy over here to be honest.
I’ve been going through the basement and basically declaring most things down there aren’t worth keeping. I’m getting rid of a lot, but sometimes the project ideas just pop in my head, and I can’t ignore them.
I have zero idea why I felt the need to pack a 21st birthday mug when we moved from Cincinnati, but it ended up in a box that came here. Well here it is now!
It’s such a perfect beer mug vase for St. Patrick’s Day! Like I don’t have enough vases already.
Because even though we’re busy, there’s of course always time to celebrate my favorite holiday!
This was beyond easy to make. If you’re participating in some Irish festivities this weekend, you could whip one of these up in less than an hour.

Supply list for a DIY beer mug vase:
- Glass beer mug
- Painter’s tape
- Paint brush
- Gold DecoArt paint
- Small paint brush
- White DecoArt paint
How to make a DIY beer mug vase:
1. Tape off a line for the top of the ‘beer.’
2. Paint the bottom gold.
Take the tape off, and let the paint dry.
3. Add the white ‘beer foam.’
I used a small paint brush and just dabbed the paint on to create kind of a bubbly, foam look.
Let it dry.
Fill it up with flowers for a festive St. Patrick’s Day beer mug vase!
Cheers to a great St. Patrick’s Day weekend! Hope everyone has fun!
